Earl Fredrick Klement

Earl Fredrick Klement of Midland, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, in Pretty Prairie, Kansas. He was 92 years old. Earl Fredrick Klement was born on February 6, 1930, in Saginaw, Michigan, the seventh and last-born child to the late Augustine and Susanne (Turek) Klement. He attended grade and middle school at Holy Cross Lutheran School. Earl then attended Arthur Hill High School where he excelled in band, baseball, basketball, and tumbling; proudly graduating with the class of 1948. Following graduation, he began working at Midland Dairy where he met the former, June Louise Yarrington, and were united in marriage in 1950. They celebrated 37 years of marriage together before June passed away on November 9, 1987. Together their union brought a daughter, Rena (Douglass) Dague, and a grandson, Jeremy (Alison) Dague. Earl worked as an assistant parts manager at Bandeen Chevrolet in Midland for 16 years, and various other dealerships throughout the area as a manager and assistant parts manager. Earl found his true calling and passion working as a rural mail carrier for the Midland United States Postal Service, retiring after many years of loyal and dedicated service. In 1990, Earl married the former Barbara Wilson where he celebrated 32 years of marriage. Together their union brought an additional three sons and two daughters: Kim (Darla) Wilson, Dennis (Anita) Wilson, Cindy (Royce) Krehbiel, Donna (Michael) Sheehy, and Glenn (Annie) Wilson. He was a longtime member of the Community of Christ Church in Sanford where he faithfully served as head pastor for many years. Earl treasured and cherished his family and was instrumental in the organization of countless monthly family luncheons. He enjoyed spending time bowling and the peace and tranquility fishing brought to his life. A sports enthusiast, Earl loved to watch and cheer for his favorite sports teams, the University of Michigan, and all the Detroit team, the Lions, Tigers, and Pistons. He left his indelible mark in this world through his wonderful sense of humor, for being a kind and caring spirit, his devotion to God, and for truly living a remarkable life filled with many stories and memories too beautiful to forget.

Surviving are his wife, Barbra Klement; six children: Rena (Douglas) Dague, Kim (Darla) Wilson, Dennis (Anita) Wilson, Cindy (Royce) Krehbiel, Donna (Michael) Sheehy, and Glen (Annie) Wilson; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
