Edgar W. Quintel

Quintel, Edgar W. Bridgeport, MI Passed away November 27, 2012, in Charleston, South Carolina at the age of 85. Edgar was born May 27, 1927, in Bay City to the late William and Mary Quintel. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Edgar married Doris Ann Abraham on June 13, 1958, she predeceased him May 1, 2009. He retired from General Motors after serving for 33 years. He was a member of the American Legion and the U.A.W. He enjoyed square dancing and playing cards. He was a loving person and he will be missed by his children, Sharon (Wayne) Mundt, Carlene (Tom) Newvine, and Tommy (Anna) Quintel; grandson, Michael Quintel; and several extended family members. He was predeceased by his son, Paul Quintel; and several family members. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at Faith Lutheran Church, 4241 Williamson Rd. Rev. William Hessler will officiate with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens under the auspices of VFW Post 1859 in Carrollton. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W.L. Case & Company 5700 Dixie Hwy.
