Wagner, Edith Lillian, Saginaw, Michigan
Passed away Saturday April 26, 2014 following a brief illness at the age of 102.
Born in Saginaw, MI on August 16, 1911, to Lillian (Field) Etter and Lee Etter, she lived in Saginaw her entire life. She graduated from Saginaw High School and Saginaw General Hospital School of Nursing, followed by working as an Industrial Nurse at the Chevrolet Grey Iron Foundry where she met and married Henry Wagner on May 30, 1941. He preceded her in death.
Edith was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She is survived by two sons: Curt (Marcia) Wagner of Green Valley, AZ, and Alan (Margaret) Wagner of Estes Park, CO, along with seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; also many beloved nieces and nephews; and a special almost son Edward (Ted) Kurth.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday April 28, 2014 at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Susan Hand will officiate. Burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel from 11:00 AM Monday until the time of the funeral service.
