Saginaw, Michigan Join us in the celebration of Edna's life and not mourn her passing. She was welcomed into Heaven by the Lord and her parents, Alfred and Leona Buetow, her brother Alfred and her son Gregg on March 17, 2017. Loved by all, let us celebrate her life and not dwell on her passing for she is now with the Lord in Heaven and is surrounded by those who have passed before her. Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, she will be forever missed by those who loved her. She touched the lives of many and her love surrounds us all now and forever and we are truly blessed. Edna, with her love of lighthouses, was the beacon of light in all of the lives of those that she considered friends, of which she had many. Her faith carried her through to the end and on the wings of the Angels, she now soars. May she rest in peace with all of our love. She wished for quality of life, not quantity, but she was blessed with both. Surviving Edna is her husband of over 60 years, Fred; also her children Mark and Kathleen Davis; Gary and Janice Davis and Lori and Nate Henry; her brother Kenneth (Ruthann) Buetow, as well as several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4640 N. Michigan. Rev. Phillip DeVries will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. They may then call at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
