Taylor, Edna M. James Township Passed away Wednesday November 11, 2015, surrounded by family at Shields Comfort Care after a brief illness. Edna was born June 11, 1939 to the late Charles and Eunice Morey in Alma, Michigan. Edna graduated from Alma High School and was married to James Leroy Taylor for 49 years. He predeceased her in 2006. Edna devoted a good portion of her life to being a wife, mother and homemaker. In recent years, she generously volunteered her time to charitable organizations, including the St. Mary's Hospital Thrift Store, the Saginaw City Rescue Mission and the Soup Kitchen. Edna was a member of the Swan Valley United Methodist Church and she worked tirelessly to help the church with its outreach and many endeavors within the church and the community it served. She enjoyed her summer weekends camping and maintaining her various flower and vegetable gardens. James and Edna had three children, who survive her; Jeffrey (Shelly) Taylor, Janis (Gustin) Young (Robert) and Kevin (Rachelle) Taylor. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law and Zoey, her devoted cat. Besides her husband, Edna was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Robert Morey and one grandson, Erik Anderson. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Friday, November 13, 2015 from 2:00 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
