Edward Mark Abler Midland, Michigan Formerly of Saginaw Passed away Monday, July 14, 2014, at his home. Age 62 years. The son of the Late Gertrude Jo (Rose) and Joseph Abler was born July 2, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Sharon Mitas, June 3, 1972. She survives him. Edward graduated from Buena Vista High School and served with the U. S. Army in Korea. He was employed by General Motors Saginaw Steering Gear (Delphi) retiring with 30 years of service. He was an avid Michigan Sports fan, NASCAR fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and his motorcycle. He was a member of the Goldwing Riders Assoc. He enjoyed going to the casino. Surviving besides his wife, Sharon, are two daughters and their husbands, Kerri and Shaun Miller; Jamie and Adam Mood; six grandchildren, Devin Mark Miller; Ariel Gabrielle Miller; Abigail Rose Miller; Bradley Carson Miller; Harrison Maverick Mood; Hailey Lynn Mood; his brother and sister and her husband, Karl Abler; Cindy and Ron Johnson; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Barry and Carol Nelson; John Mitas II; Bob and Rosie Peters; Eric and Mary Wiskoff; Joy Abler; his nieces and nephews, Patrick and Brian Nelson; Johnny Mitas III; Jason Mitas; Jason Peters; Mandy Schmitz; Kirsten Wiskoff; Angie Macias; Ronnie Johnson; Jeff Abler. A brother, Joe Abler, has predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Friends may call at the chapel from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday.
