Edwin Wayne Boyke

Edwin Wayne Boyke Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019, at his home. Age 73 years. The son of the late Gladys (Stalzburg) and Edwin Adolph Boyke was born July 31, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post #439. He married Gail E. Rush, December 13, 1976. She passed away February 21, 1987. He was employed by General Motors, retiring with about 30 years of service. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the Loyal Order of the Moose #82. Surviving are four daughters, one son, and their spouses, Dorothy and Kevin Wood; Dawn and Jim Wood; Melissa and Jim Bronz; Denise and Dave Lamb; Thomas and Carrie Boyke; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters and their husbands, Geri and Ken Turner; Dorothy and Marv Baucholtz; two brothers, Butch and Ron Boyke; many nieces and nephews. A sister, Mary Hazelhuhn, has predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 5052 McCarty Rd. Saginaw. Rev. Michael Nitz will officiate with Military burial in Owen Cemetery under the auspices of American Legion Post #439. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 1:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2019, and then at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
