Schrems, Eileen Ann Frankenmuth, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away Friday evening, October 18, 2013, at the Wellspring Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth. Age 83 years. Eileen Ann Moriarty was born January 14, 1930, the daughter of the late Ethel (Davison) and Emmett Moriarty. She graduated from St. Joseph High School with the Class of 1947. On November 5, 1949, she married Thomas M. Schrems; he predeceased her on December 26, 1995. Eileen was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Frankenmuth and its widows group. She enjoyed luncheons and social fellowship with church friends. She also enjoyed camping, sewing and crocheting. She especially loved spending time with her family. Surviving are seven children and their spouses, Mike and Doreen (Wall) Schrems, Dan and Ann (Koperski) Schrems, Sue and Mike Melville, and Kathleen and Eric Neumann, all of Saginaw; Mary and Gordon Weiss, Woodbridge, VA; Tim and Diane (Guindon) Schrems, Jennison, MI; Tom and Maria (Betley) Schrems, Northville, MI; nineteen grandchildren and their spouses, Kirstin and Bryan Delfin, Kelly and Sean Gallagher, Brian and Lynn Schrems, Jill and Oscar Penate, Kevin Schrems, Steven Melville, Heather Melville, Kyle Neumann, Katelyn Neumann, Brandon and Kelly Weiss, Erin and Stephen Lord, Nathan Weiss, Evan Weiss, Sarah Schrems, Adam Schrems, Emily Schrems, Elizabeth Schrems, Patrick Schrems, and Colleen Schrems; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Delfin, Madeline Delfin, and Megan Schrems; one brother and his wife, Larry and Judy Moriarty, Northville; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Agnes (Schrems) Rohde, Bridgeport, Frank Schrems, Midland, Marge Schrems, Bridgeport, Mary Boensch, Saginaw, Tom and RuthAnn (Schrems) Ezop, Frankenmuth; several nieces, nephews, and their families. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Jackie Moriarty and Kathleen "Mickie" Johnson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim Rohde, Leo and Joan Schrems, Lillian Schrems, Joe Schrems, and Kenneth Boensch; and by a nephew, Frank Johnson. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola Street, Frankenmuth. Rev. Fr. Robert Byrne will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Eileen's family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, from 4:00 8:00 p.m. on Monday, and then from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. A parish vigil service will take place at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Family and friends may then gather at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral Mass.
