Elayne lived in Lansing for more than 30 years and worked for Delta Electric and Capital Area Community Services. She was member of Mount Hope Church in Lansing, MI. She had been a member of the Saginaw Germania Club and the Saginaw Country Club. She married, Lin A. Servis, in October 1945 and he predeceased her in October 1967. Her "baby" brother, Stanley Bryant, lives in Everett, WA. She approached her life with the mantra, "I am only one, but I am one. I cant do everything, but I can do something. The something I can do, I ought to do, and by the grace of God, I will do." She had a quick sense of humor and spoke many "funny one liners" that we will remember forever. She had enjoyed painting and sewing. She made clothing for childrens orphanages for several Honduras mission trips and for local charities. She loved the opera and music of the 1940s and 1950s. Elayne was always willing to help those in need and enjoyed being a caregiver and helper to her family. Elayne was a very loving Mother and Grandmother. Her grandchildren and great- grandchildren were her life in her later years. She loved being with the little ones and having their "joyfulness presence" around her. She was so happy to watch them decorate our Christmas Tree. Christmas was her most favorite Holiday. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the W. L.
