Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the age of 100 years. Eleanor Rehmus was born March 21, 1916 in Bay City, Michigan to the late A. J. and Henrietta Rehmus. Her education was in the Bay City Schools and Northeastern School of Commerce. She was employed by Bay City Public School System and was a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award. She was a life member of MARSP (Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel) and BARSP (Bay Association of Retired School Personnel). Eleanor was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bay City. Her main interests in her life were her family, church and community activities. She is survived by three sons and their spouses, Jack (Kay) LaBreck, Saginaw, MI; James (Ann) LaBreck, Tipp City, OH; Gerald (Marge) LaBreck, Grand Rapids, MI; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Robert Krupka; her sister, Nelda Maniex; her sister-in-law, JoAnn Rehmus; many nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by her daughter, Julie Krupka; her husband, Floyd Swanson, in 1978 and her husband, Willard Ball, in 2002. She was also predeceased by one brother, Richard Rehmus, and two sisters, Marguerite Fox and Mildred Huebner. Eleanor's family would like to extend a special thanks to caregivers at Meadowview Manor. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Entombment will be in Floral Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may call at the chapel from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of service.
