Eleanor D. Pries

Eleanor D. Pries Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Shields Comfort Care with her family at her side. Age 97 years. She was born on March 27, 1922 in Reese, Michigan, the daughter of the late John and Florence (Arndt) Diener. After high school, she attended Bay City Business College to become a professional secretary. Prior to marriage, she worked as secretary and bookkeeper for Pure Oil Company in Bay City. On October 22, 1949, she married Orville Pries and they made their home in Bridgeport, Michigan; he preceded her in death on July 1, 2002. Eleanor was a long time member of Faith Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, where she was a member of the altar and ladies guild. She also served as church secretary for 21 years. As a homemaker, she enjoyed caring for her family and trying new recipes. In her later years, she took up camping with her husband, playing cards, bingo, and working on crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Surviving are one daughter and spouse, Karen and Tobias Webber. Arrangements have been entrusted with W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel.
