Eleanor Marian Olson

Eleanor Marian Olson Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at New Hope Bay at the age of 90 years. The daughter of the late Merle and Irma (Grunder) Pelton was born October 17, 1927, in Standish, Michigan. Eleanor married Charles Olson on June 25, 1950; he predeceased her on June 10, 1999. She worked as a Dental Assistant for several oral surgeons. Eleanor enjoyed music and was a lifelong singer and piano player. She was a member of First Congregational Church where she served in the choir and on many volunteer activities. She loved dogs and they always put a smile on her face. She is survived by her sons, John Olson and Paul Olson and his wife Taylor; grandchildren, Emily and Paige Westfall and Charlie Olson. She was predeceased by her children, David Olson and Anne Westfall; and her brother James Pelton. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2017, at First Congregational Church 403 S. Jefferson with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and again at church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the service. Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church or the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra.
