Eleanor Sramkoski

Passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at her home. Age 96 years. The daughter of the late William and Mary (Drotar) Orosz was born January 18, 1922 in Ecorse, Michigan. She married Thaddeus Leslie Sramkoski, July 2, 1947. Her husband of 54 years passed away September 27, 2001. She was employed by J.C. Penney as a seamstress, retiring with about 30 years of service. She was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the League of Catholic Women. Eleanor was an avid gardener and enjoyed her garden at the Saginaw Childrens Zoo. Surviving are two daughters, one son and their spouses, Janet and Michael Jahncke; Deanna and John Gilmour; John Sramkoski; four grandchildren, Nathan Jahncke; Robin Isaacson; Ian Gilmour; Ana Gilmour; two great grandchildren, Gabriel Isaacson; Ethan Gilmour; a sister, Margaret Fish; several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Barbara Ann Sramkoski, three brothers, one sister, William, John, Jesse and Grace Orosz have predeceased her. In accordance with Eleanors wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington Ave. Saginaw, MI. The family will greet friends at the church from10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial Liturgy.
