Elida Rueckert

Rueckert, Elida Burt, MI Passed away June 27, 2014, at her daughter's home at the age of 83 years. The daughter of the late Ana "Anita" (Gamez) Gonzales was born January 17, 1931, in San Antonio, TX. She married Raymond Frank Rueckert on August 18, 1956. They remained happily married for over 53 years until he predeceased her in May of 2010. She was a loving and supportive wife that traveled with her husband all during his military service and then with the ministry. She is best remembered by all those that loved her for her cheerful disposition, great sense of humor, and strong faith and trust in our Lord Jesus. She is survived by three daughters, Valerie Rueckert of Birmingham, AL, Cindy Davey and her husband Ron of Burt, MI, and Kathy Flores of Appleton, WI; five granddaughters, Samantha and Rachel Reikowski, Alicia (Nick) Ducklow, Amanda Tennyson, and Amber Flores; three great-grandchildren, Aiden and Carter Tennyson, and Elliana Ducklow; her sister Henrietta Muniz; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014, at W.L. Case & Company 5700 Dixie Highway. Mr. Joe Galganski will officiate with burial at a later date in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
