Elizabeth A. Thornhill

Passed away on September 9, 2016 at Meadow View Manor at the age of 87 years. Elizabeth was born April 18, 1929, the daughter of the late Robert and Marie (Trevithick) Britsman in Batavia, NY. She married Jesse Thornhill in 1951; he predeceased her in 2015. Elizabeth retired from the Saginaw Public School System- Fuerbringer School. She was a past member of First Presbyterian Church. Elizabeth loved to garden, especially caring for her rose bushes and tomato plants. She was a "snowbird" and enjoyed spending her winters in her condo in Florida. Surviving are her sons, Gary (Linda) Thornhill, Ohio, Douglas (Kathy) Thornhill, Saginaw and her daughter, Lisa (Robert) Cooper, North Carolina; grandchildren, Jessica and Nathanial Cooper, her brother Larry Britsman, her sister Dotti (David) Bonge, and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Wellspring Lutheran Services and the caregivers of Shattuck Manor and Meadow View Manor-Rose community for the loving care they gave Elizabeth. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Robert Richards will officiate with entombment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
