Passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Covenant- Harrison. Age 60 years.
The daughter of the late Betty (Bauer) and David Abbott was born December 17, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Swan Valley High School, Class of 1978. Beth married Rob Lewis, October 15, 1988; He passed away in March of 2017. Beth was a hairdresser most of her life. She loved to read, knit, shop and most of all loved her very special furbabies.
Surviving are her sister, Kaye Abbott, Zilwaukee, MI; a special aunt, Judy Bauer and special uncle, Lawrence Delmont; two aunts, Rosemary Denno, Midland, MI; Mary Dahlstrom, St. Peterburg, Fl. her mother-in-law, Charlotte Lewis; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kay and Mike Hawkes, all of Grand Rapids, MI; two nieces, Whitney and Tia Hawkes, California; many cousins; and a very special friend, Joe Ciszewski. She was also predeceased by her father-in-law, Robert Lewis.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Rev. Marc Hopps will officiate. Friends may visit with family at the church from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the funeral liturgy. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Dr. Mike Manzoni to help with the cost of placing her animals to good homes. Ms. Abbott’s family wish to give a special thanks to Dr. Mirza Hussain, the staff and caregivers of 6th and 7th Floor Covenant Harrison for their wonderful care and support.
