Elvira Sanches

Sanches, Elvira Saginaw, Michigan Our loving Mother and Grandmother passed away Monday, February 2, 2015, with her family by her side, age 95 years. Elvira was born March 6, 1919 in Cuero, Texas, the daughter of the late Carlos and Juanita (Valerio) Alvarez. She married Bendal Sanches on June 7, 1935, he predeceased her. She was employed for a few years at the Queen of Angels Retreat, loved the Lord and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Elvira enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, crocheting and cooking. She is survived by her children, Fela (Bonifacio) Yrlas, Mamie (Thomas) Davis, Benito (Mary) Sanches, Florentino (Julie) Sanches, Antonio Sanches, Ernest (Rose) Sanches, Elvia (Arturo)Torrez and Alice (Jesus) Munoz; her brother, Pablo Alvarez; her sister, Adelina Alvarez; her many grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many other special relatives and friends. Besides her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her daughters, Avelina Jones and Jesusa Gonzales; her sons, Guadalupe, Jesse and Arturo Sanchez and her granddaughter, Brandy Sanchez. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 6, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish (St. Anthony of Padua church site) 3680 S. Washington Road. Fr. Brian Braun OFM Cap will officiate with burial to follow in Mt.Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W. L.
