Hunt, Esther Kay Saginaw, Michigan Went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Esther Kay LaRocca was born April 7, 1939, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Mary (Altrudi) and Nicholas LaRocca. She graduated from Boardman High School in Boardman, Ohio, with the Class of 1957. She attended Central Bible College where she studied Biblical Studies, Music and Elementary Education. She married Maynard Raynor Hunt on August 19, 1961; he predeceased her December 5, 2008. She had been an elementary school teacher at Thomas White Elementary School in Bridgeport, Michigan, and later taught English as a Second Language for over ten years. She had been an active member of Saginaw First Assembly of God, serving as pianist, small group leader, and class teacher in ministerial education. She loved shopping and getting good deals. She enjoyed going to arts and crafts shows, dining out with family and friends, and watching her favorite shows. She especially loved time spent caring for her grandchildren. Esther was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and faithfully served Him her entire life, bringing many people to Him through her ministries. Surviving are two children, David (Erin) Hunt, Freeland; Heidi (Pete) Garcia, Saginaw; one granddaughter, Savannah Joy Garcia and one grandson, Gavan Christian Hunt Garcia; her sister, Gloria Jean (Dr. Thomas) Detesco, Poland, Ohio; her brother, Richard R. LaRocca, Boardman, Ohio; one niece, Nicole M. LaRocca, Aurora, Ohio; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their families; many beloved cousins and their families; and many dear friends. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Kimberly Joy Hunt. Funeral service will take place at 12:00 noon Friday, November 4, 2016, at Saginaw First Assembly of God, 4570 Mackinaw Road, where her family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Kurt Cullison will officiate with private burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
