Esther Leese

Leese, Esther Saginaw, Michigan Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre at the age of 95 years. The daughter of the late John and Katherine (Ryle) Burback was born on October 7, 1920 in Bayard, Nebraska. She married Roy Leese on November 24, 1942; he predeceased him April 8, 1980. Esther worked for GM, retiring in 1982 after 10 years of service. She also worked for several local florists and greenhouses. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the 600 club, and gardening and arranging floral pieces. Surviving are her children: Wayne (Xiaomei) Leese, Kathleen Leese, Kim Leese, Alan (Chris) Leese, son-in-law Fred Swain, grandchildren: Josh (Sarah), Kyle (Nadya), Kate (Adam), Amanda, Colton, Mary (Isaac), Christopher, great-grandchildren: Sydney, Isaac, Taylor, Lydia and her sister Ruby (Albert) Geese. Esther was predeceased by her daughter Charlene Swain, and seven brothers, and five sisters: John, William, Edward, Alexander, Robert, David, Herman, Katherine, Sarah, Marie, June, and Rose. Funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2016 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Carol Wesolek will officiate with burial later at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service.
