Ethel E. McTaggart

Passed away on December 05, 2024 at the age of 99 years. Ethel was born on October 21, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Arthur and Edna (Steinbauer) Main. She worked as a Switchboard Operator and Receptionist at St. Mary's Hospital for 21 years. Ethel loved flowers and was often referred to as the "lady with the flower in her hair" while at work. Ethel enjoyed doing puzzles and crocheting.

Ethel was a mother to five children: Carolyn (Larry) Tappen, Jill Black, Steve Eldred who predeceased her, Marsha Warrington, and Heidi Eldred. She is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and her two beloved yorkies: Buddy and Paddy.

Along with her parents, Ethel was predeceased by three husbands and seven siblings.

Honoring Ethel's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4432 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Christina Schultz will officiate. Burial will take place next to her husband, Earl McTaggart, in Briley Township Cemetery in Atlanta, Michigan. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
