Ethel "Pete" Kozak

Kozak, Ethel "Pete" Bridgeport, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016, with her children and her dog, "Peanut", by her side. Age 87 years. Ethel Reed was born October 28, 1928, in Blumfield Township, Michigan, the youngest of twelve children born to the late Frederick and Harriet (Sowders) Reed. She married Chester A. Kozak on March 21, 1946; he predeceased her February 15, 1975. She retired from St. Luke's Hospital. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Chester and Nancy Kozak, West Bloomfield, Michigan; Dawn and Dan Mahoney, Bridgeport; Christy and Robert Hoffmann, Hampshire, Tennessee; ten grandchildren and their spouses, Christie Theriault, Daphnie and Joseph Melzo, Marcie and Todd Foster, Richard and Corey Mahoney, Anthony and Ashley Mahoney, Jesse and Debbie Hoffmann, Anne Ritz, Christine and Ari Rubin, Ben and Ellen Hoffmann, and Chad and Holly Hoffmann; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; many nieces, nephews, and their families; and her dear friend, Frieda. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her eleven siblings. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, where her family will receive friends from 4:00 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and then on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev.
