Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
Age 93 years.
Ethelyn was born February 27, 1928 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Ruth McArtor. She grew up in Harbor Beach MI and graduated from Alma College. She married Joseph Paul Shavrnoch, November 15, 1952. Her husband of 69 years survives her. She was an avid sports fan, especially University of Michigan Football and Golf. Phil Mikelson was her favorite PGA player. She also enjoyed going to the casino and playing the lottery.
Surviving besides her husband, Joseph, are two daughters, Jackie Jo Gainor and her husband, Larry, Harbor Beach, MI; Jeanne Ruth Shavrnoch, Saginaw, MI; two grandchildren, Chad Joseph Gainor and Dr. Stefanie Ann Behnke, Au.D. and her husband, Dan, all of Harbor Beach, MI. A son, Steven Case Shavrnoch predeceased her.
The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Carol McCleary will officiate.
