Our loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. Age 95 years.
Eugene was born on November 26, 1925, son of the late Ada (Miller) and Roy Tolfree, in Merrill. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Eugene retired from the Grey Iron as a Journeyman Pipefitter after many years of service. He married Betty Z. Bennett, she predeceased him on September 4, 1997. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are his children, Diane Bristol, James (Beth) Tolfree, Rebecca (James) Perry, Amy (Manny) Delgado, Roy (Wava) Tolfree, Larry (Donna) Hastings, Bobette (Steve) Hastings and Peggy (Brian) Neumeyer; 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Lyle (Bunny) Tolfree and John Tolfree; many nieces, nephews and relatives. He was predeceased by his former spouse and mother of his children, Blanche Ducham, daughter, Jeanie Ware, grandson, Steven Farlow, son-in-law, Dale Bristol, brothers and sisters, Roy, Renus, Shirley and Arthur Tolfree.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, June 27, 2021, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W.L. Case and Company, 125 E. Saginaw St., Merrill. Military honors will take place at 4:00p.m. under the auspices of the United States Army and V.F.W. Post #7302.
