Evelyn G. Pretzer

Evelyn G. Pretzer Hemlock, Michigan Beloved sister, aunt and friend to many passed away Friday, May 19, 2017. Age 88 years. The daughter of the late Edna (Schoof) and William Beyersdorf was born September 16, 1928 in Richland Township, Michigan. She married Delbert H. Pretzer, October 26, 1968. He passed away July 10, 2006. She worked with her husband on the farm and was always giving a helping hand to family and friends. She was an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, serving on the Ladies Aid, Choir, as a former chair of the Senior Citizen's, Ladies Quilting group and Altar Guild. She volunteered at the Bethesda Thrift Shop. She enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting and keeping up her yard. Evelyn was known for her famous lebkuchen and raspberry dessert. Surviving are a sister, Mildred Pretzer; many nieces and nephews; her brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Ralph Rowe; Miriam Pretzer; Irene Bronner and Rollie Bessinger. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Adeline Neuenfeldt, Elder Beyersdorf, Connie Ellis, Ruella Suhan, Addison Beyersdorf, Iola Minto, Doris Schafer, Nina Rowe, Chester Beyersdorf, Lorraine Wardin; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz Rd. Hemlock. The Rev. Dr. William L. Morris will officiate with burial in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and then on Wednesday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral service.
