Evelyn L. White

White, Evelyn L. Saginaw, Michigan Daughter of the late Sherry and Florence (Vanderburg) Reuhland passed away Monday, July 3, 2015, at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre. Evelyn was born in Ionia, Michigan and moved to Saginaw in January of 1950. She later moved to Bay City in January of 1969. She was married to Donald G. White in March of 1955. She was a long time member of St. John Amelith Lutheran Church. Evelyn graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1955 and attended Delta College. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for various orthopedic surgeons. She enjoyed baking cookies, working crossword and number puzzles, bird watching, identifying and studying their habitat, and learning new things. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends and listening to old time country and gospel music. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping, motor trips, bicycling, and dancing to the country western music. The thing she enjoyed most was watching her grandchildren grow and thrive in the Lord's grace. Surviving besides her husband of 60 years are her daughter, Rebecca Moquin; her son, Robert (wife Deirdra); her grandchildren, Adam (Rachel) White, Lance Moquin, Eric (Katelin) Moquin, Caitlin White, Travis Moquin, and Erin Burdis. Great-grandchildren include Gideon White, Clay Moquin, Jahna Grace White, and Alethea Moquin. Her family extends special thanks to Pastor Starke, Hospice Advantage, Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre, Shattuck Manor, and Dr. Bartnik and staff. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, where her family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
