Everette William Schultz, Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side, on Saturday, July 18, 2020. He was 86 years old. Everette William Schultz was born on May 16, 1934, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Fred and Lena (Wenzel) Schultz. He met the love of his life, Sally J. Lokinski while working at Garber Buick. They were united in marriage on July 20, 1957, at Grace Lutheran Church in Saginaw; she survives. He was employed as a truck driver for over 20 years with Standard Oil and through its transition into Saginaw Valley Oil. Everette was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. He enjoyed going to the casino, spending time with family, and loved having a clean car. He will forever be remembered for his innate ability to socialize and connect with all people, and for the love he provided to his family and friends over the years.
Surviving are his wife of almost 63 years, Sally J. Schultz of Saginaw; son, Everette W. (Carmen) Schultz Jr. of Epoufette; two daughters: Patty L. (Ray) Ellison of Midland; Stacy L. (Keith) Brink of Auburn; three grandchildren: Everette W. Schultz III of Brighton; Kyle Ellison of Midland; Katie Ellison of Midland; sister-in-law, Barbara Schultz of Chesaning; brother-in-law, Harley Spiekerman of Merrill.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Buckey; two brothers: Don and Arnold Schultz; sister-in-law, Bonnie Spiekerman; and brother-in-law, Arnold Buckey.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are welcome to visit at the funeral chapel on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Due to restrictions set forth by the State of Michigan and the worldwide health pandemic, all visitors must wear a face covering and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Ascension Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Covenant VNA Hospice, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
