Evert Bruce

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the age of 75 years.
The son of the late George and Bertha (Osborn) Bruce was born on May 17, 1944 in Harlan County, Kentucky. He married Luisa Perez on November 23, 1963; she survives him. Evert was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 45 years. He enjoyed playing softball, golfing and being a jokester, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving besides his wife, Luisa, are their children: Priscilla Dickinson, Debra (David) Hoeppner, Christopher (Karrie) Bruce, Darlene (Louie) Bruce seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters: Lucilla Armstrong of West Virginia, Jenny Lou (Tommy) Harris of Caywood, KY, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents, Evert was predeceased by a grandson, J. Evert Reid and two brothers and two sisters.
In accordance with Evert’s wishes cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date.
