Feliberto Cano Lopez Bay City, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at his home. Age 83 years. The son of the late Susan Cano and Pablo Lopez was born October 23, 1930 in Mercedes, Texas. He married Mary Ellen Quiroz, January 13, 1968. She survives him. He served with the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a Salesman and also worked for 10 years at McDonald's Restaurant on Wilder Road in Bay City. He was a member of St. Stanislaus and attended St. James Catholic Church. He enjoyed camping. Surviving besides his wife are three children, Sandra Lopez (Jason Mioduch) a granddaughter, Olivia Lopez; Susan and Ruben Lopez; two stepchildren, David Vasquez Jr; Lupe Vasquez and their families; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Dora Alanis; Maggie Castaneda; Mary Lopez, Robert Lopez, Dan Lopez, Domingo Lopez, many nieces, nephews and other relatives. His nephew, Roy Castaneda Jr, was particularly close to Feliberto. A stepson, Gilbert Vasquez and his mother-in-law, Ramona Guiterrez, have predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at Noon Saturday, January 11, 2014, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Daniel Roa will officiate with Military burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the auspices of American GI Forum. Friends may call at the chapel from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday.
