Florence M. Helwer

Passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017, at home at the age of 93 years. Flo was born April 1, 1924, in Frankenmuth, Michigan the daughter of the late Otto and Anna (Weidner) Nitz. She married Gottfried Helwer Jr. on June 30, 1945; he predeceased her September 2, 1995. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society with the church. She is survived by her children, Rev. Gary (Nancy) Helwer and Faye (Ron) Galvas; 8 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Helwer; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Ruth Abele. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2017, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Charles Buckhahn will officiate with burial to follow in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, . Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
