Frances Rose Faust of Bridgeport, Michigan
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison. She was 77 years old. Frances Rose Jagunich was born on August 7, 1947, in Eveleth, Minnesota, to the late Frank Andrew and Mariam Elaine (Isaacson) Jagunich. She was a proud 1965 graduate of Cherry High School in Iron, Minnesota. Following graduation, Frances attended the University of Minnesota – Duluth, graduating in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. While working at Pillsbury R&D in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Frances met the love of her life, Lee Edward Faust. They began dating, fell in love, and were united in marriage on January 6, 1973, in Eveleth, Minnesota, in 30 below zero weather, surrounded by the most beautiful and stunning orchids provided by her father-in-law, the florist. Lee and Frances moved to Essexville, Michigan, eventually making Bridgeport, Michigan their home. The role of her lifetime, one she treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a longtime and faithful member of St. Francis de Sales Parish, St. Christopher Catholic Church. Frances had a servant’s heart and selflessly volunteered her time and talent for her many activities such as the girl scouts, boy scouts, middle school yearbook, St. Francis de Sales prayer chain, and Thomas White Library. Whether it was baking cookies, hosting and attending meetings, or just being present, she loved her children dearly and did everything for them. Her little piece of heaven was spending time her grandchildren and tending to all the flowers in her garden. A true art patron, Frances loved attending all types of art fairs and supporting local art talent. As an adult, she learned how to play the piano, but also enjoyed watching Korean dramas, putting together hundreds of puzzles, and reading. She will forever be remembered for her sense of adventure and trying new things, for being loving, kind, and a beautiful soul, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many wonderful memories and stories.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Lee Edward Faust of Bridgeport; four children: Joseph (Camille) Faust of East Tawas; Victoria (Marty) Palmer of Omaha, NE; Mary (Brian) Pittelko of Kalamazoo; John (Mary Ann) Faust of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren: Joshua Palmer of Omaha, NE; Lilliana Palmer of Omaha; NE; Eleanor Pittelko of Kalamazoo; Edward Pittelko of Kalmazoo; Alexander Faust of East Tawas; sister, Mary (Steve) Keto of Raleigh, NC; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Schepers of St. Paul, MN; John Faust of Houston, TX; sister-in-law, DeAnn Faust of Dawson, MN.
