Frances "Babe" E. Nagy

Nagy, Frances E. "Babe" Saginaw, MI Passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at her home with her family by her side, age 96 years. Frances was born in Taymouth Township, Michigan August 9, 1917 the daughter of the late Casimer and Margaret (Pawlanta) Toddish. She married Mike T. Nagy February 18, 1939. He predeceased her August 17, 1992. Frances was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the League of Catholic Women. She loved to tend her garden and play Euchre. Frances is survived by three children, Michael C. and Judith Nagy, Saginaw, MI, Donald E. (Lisa White) Nagy, Tennessee and Mary and Robert Lappeus, Maine; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Leona Nevile and Mary Nagy; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Frances was predeceased by a granddaughter, Saundra; two sisters, Helen Kenny and Eleanor "Toby" Japcinski; a brother, Casimer "Bud" Toddish and a sister-in-law, Helen Toddish. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington. Rev. Ronald Dombrowski will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case & Company, 5700 Dixie Highway Monday from 2:00 8:00 p.m. where they may join the family for a parish vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call at church Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
