Francis A. Werner

Werner, Francis A. Bridgeport, Michigan The lord hath prepared a place for Francis and called him home after a long battle with cancer on Friday August 9, 2013 at the age of 81 years. Francis was born February 12, 1932 the son of the late Joseph and Mignone Werner. Frank graduated from Hickman High School in 1950 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1951 at the out break of the Korean War. After serving four years he came to Saginaw and worked for Saginaw Steering Gear until his retirement in 1986. Since that time Frank has enjoyed working in the yard and tinkering in his garage. He was a devoted Catholic and a long time member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Bridgeport, MI. Surviving Francis are his wife, Roberta Werner of Saginaw, MI.; daughter Paula Werner and son Douglas Werner both of Huntington, IN; two step-children Bobbi Sue (Carlos) Saunders of Saginaw, MI; Brandi (Robert) Coats of Essexville, MI; one grandson and several step-grandchildren; one brother and one sister Paul Werner and Mary Jo Lattus, both of Hickman KY; also several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by a sister Anna Terrett. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 15, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 411 E. Moulton St. Hickman Kentucky. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. and then on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass.
