Francis L. Lawrence

Passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Hoyt Nursing Home. He was 84 years of age. Francis L. Lawrence was born June 13, 1932, in Saginaw to the late Francis K. and Eva (Benton) Lawrence. He served proudly in the U. S. Army during the Korea War. He married Dolores Pflueger on December 19, 1953, and she predeceased him in 2007. Frank owned and operated several businesses during his lifetime, including a new/used furniture store and a convenience store. He was an avid fisherman and loved building with his hands, a skill which served him well as a carpenter. Mr. Lawrence is survived by his four children, Bonnie (Kevin) Leitz, Cathy Farrand, Mark Lawrence, and Kay (Jon) Brown; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at the W. L. Case Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial at a later date in Owens Cemetery.
