Frank Adam Cheney

Loving husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on December 21, 2021, at the Ann Arbor VA. Age 64 years.
Son of the late Mark and Lorraine (Schaeding) Cheney, Frank was born on May 8, 1957, in Saginaw. He married Faustina Castillo on December 16, 1974; she survives him. Frank proudly served 22 years in the army National Guard. He enjoyed going to the casino, camping, canoeing, fishing, playing cards, and loved watching the Detroit Red Wings and Lions. Most of all he loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, who "melted his heart." Frank loved watching them play sports. No matter what time of day he was there to watch them.
Frank will be greatly missed by his wife, Faustina, three children: Frank (Melanie) Cheney, Kelly (Evan) Long, and Adam Cheney; 16 grandchildren: Cody Walderzak, Clarissa Redburn, Cailee Redburn, Hannah Castillo, Madison Laatsch, Frank Cheney III, Autumn Cheney, Hudson Cheney, Trey Cheney, Brett Johnson, Layla Johnson, Jack Long, Marcella Cheney, Sophia Cheney, Adam Cheney Jr., Noah Cheney; great-granddaughter Lillian Cheney, son-in-law, Christopher Redburn, siblings: Barbara (William) Griffin, Melody (Robert) LaPlaunt, Randy Cheney, Rick (Dianne) Cheney, Yvonne VanSickle, Brenda Cheney, Diane Cheney, siblings-in-law: Salvador Castillo, Vincent (Penny) Castillo, Bryan (Kimberly) Castillo, Angel Castillo, Rick (Heidi) Castillo, Syliva (Raul) Vela, Greg Castillo, Richard Castillo, Patricia Heinroth, and Allan Stagray; mother-in-law, Janet Castillo, and countless nieces and nephews.
He was welcomed Home to Heaven by his daughter, Christine Cheney, sisters: Nancy Walters and Christine Stagray; and brother John Cheney.
Funeral service will be held 3:00pm on Monday, January 3, 2022 at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Rev. Paul Biber will officiate. Honoring Frank's wishes cremation will take place following the service. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel from 11:00am until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may consider memorials to the wishes of the c/o Faustina Cheney.
