A very special cowboy went to Heaven on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the age of 77 years. Frank was born on May 20, 1939 in Tazwell, TN to the late Thomas and Katherine (Ayers) Hatfield. He married Lois Popp on March 10, 1962; she survives him. Frank retired from Central Foundry in 1980. He built and ran Hatfield Acres Boarding Stable. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, N.R.A., American Quarter Horse Assoc., and American Pinto Assoc. Frank enjoyed showing horses, teaching young children how to ride and show horses, hunting and fishing. Surviving besides his wife, Lois, are a special daughter: Patty (Chris) Spiekerman, daughter-in-law Roseanne Hatfield, very special grandchildren: Zackery Spiekerman, Joe (Shari) Hatfield, Jason (Beth) Hatfield, Jody (Brian) Monk, great-grandchildren: Haley, Lance and Peyton Hatfield, his siblings: Shelby (Rosie) Hatfield, Virgle (Doris) Hatfield, Ruth (Ron) Morris, his siblings-in-laws: Charlie (Marylee) Popp, Margaret Pitt, Elaine (Bob) Rohn, Alice Krause, Helen (Bob) Taylor, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brothers: Lonnie, Floyd, Burton Hatfield, his brothers-in-law: Don Raymond and James Popp and his nephew Tom Hatfield. Memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service.
