Fred Carl Hagen Saginaw, Michigan Passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, October 10, 2015. Age 65 years. The son of the late Lorena B. (Wondrasch) and Harold S. Hagen was born April 12, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from St. Charles High School, Class of 1968. Fred joined the U. S. Marine Corp in November of 1968 and served in Vietnam War as a radio repair man in 1970. He was a lifetime member of the Midland V.F.W. Post # 3651. After being honorably discharged, Fred began college, earning a Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in Political Science in December of 1976. He then worked for I.B.M. for many years and later as an over-road-trucker for Swift Transportation, J.B. Hunt and several other companies. Fred was the main caretaker for his mother for over a decade. He was an avid woodcarver and gardener. Surviving are 4 sisters, Ruth Uhle; Joann Hagen; Wanda Ciesla and her husband, Mike; Jean Hagen; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, all which were special to him. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Military honors will be under the auspices of V.F.W. Post 3651. Friends may call at the Chapel from Noon Saturday until the time of the funeral service.
