Fred James Crosby, II

Fred James Crosby, II, of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and dear friend passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Fred James Crosby II was born on November 8, 1965, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Fred James and Joyce Marie (Schultz) Crosby. He was a proud 1984 graduate of Hemlock High School where he played on the football and wrestling teams. Following graduation, Fred enrolled at Ferris State University's automotive program. Fred and Renee were united in marriage on April 29, 1989; she survives him. He was employed at Hemlock Semiconductor from January 2, 1986, until his retirement 34 years later, on January 15, 2019. The role of his lifetime, and one he loved above anything in this world, was to be a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Fred was a longtime member and former school board member at Bethlehem Lutheran Church & School and currently attended Hopevale Church. Throughout his life, Fred served his community by volunteering as a little league coach for his sons, served as vice president, umpire in-chief, and eventually rising to the rank of Past President for the North SaginawTownship Little League (NSTLL). An avid outdoorsman, Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling, and passing this love on to his sons. A family man at heart, his little piece of heaven was spending quality time at the cottage on Higgins Lake, as well as boating or just relaxing on the water. Fred will forever be remembered for his hard work ethic, for being an amazing husband and the best father and grandfather in the entire universe, for his fun-loving and adventurous spirit, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Renee Marie Crosby of Saginaw; two sons: Brandon Joseph (Emily) Crosby of Shields; Justin Lee (Morgan) Crosby of Thomas Township; two grandchildren: Jackson and Graham Crosby; parents Fred and Joyce Crosby of Hemlock; a brother, Troy Lee (Kathy) Crosby of Merrill; a sister, Cindy (Matt) Schonfeld of Thomas Township; brother-in-law, Don Wegener of Midland; five brothers-in-law: Joseph (Roberta) Revard, Gregory Revard, Michael (Carol) Revard, Kevin (Laurie) Revard, David (Kelly) Revard. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Melissa Jo Wegener; a brother-in-law, Rodney Revard; father- and mother-in-law, Joseph and Carol Revard.
