Frederick Paul Falkenberg Saginaw, Michigan Passed away early Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at home, following a lengthy battle with lung cancer. Age 81 years. Frederick Paul Falkenberg was born June 25, 1936, in Saginaw, the son of the late Frederick W. and Alvera (Pomeraning) Falkenberg. He was baptized at St. Lukes Lutheran Church and was confirmed and married in the Lutheran Faith. He served with the US Army from 1954 - 1962, serving in France for two years during the Berlin Wall Crisis. He retired from General Motors after 33 years of service. He served on the James Township Planning and Zoning Board since 2009. He was a member of the American Legion. He married Janice M. Miller on August 2, 1958; she predeceased him on October 2, 2015. Surviving are three sons: Jay (Julie), Michael (Penny) and David (Terri) Falkenberg; six grandchildren: Jennifer, Amanda, Michael Jr., Brittany, Jeremiah, and Justin. Another grandson, Pete, predeceased him. He also leaves two great-grandchildren, Evermore and Amylia; four step-grandchildren: Christian, Quentin, Holden, and Brady; his sister, Diane (Richard) Reder, of Onsted, Michigan; one niece and three nephews: Kris McIntosh, Kenneth, Kevin and Kyle Reder; and a special cousin, Robert Falkenberg. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2017, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, where his family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of service. Rev.
