Dall, Fredric "Fred" Merrill, MI
Beloved husband, dad, and grandpa passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017, at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland. He was 74 years of age.
Fred Dall was born March 8, 1942 in Saginaw to the late Charles and Dorothy (Zorn) Dall. He married Virginia Duncan on June 16, 1973, and she survives him. He was employed for 35 years by Dow Corning, retiring in 2000. He was a graduate of both General Motors Institute and the University of Michigan. He was a member of Hemlock United Methodist Church where he was also a sound engineer, usher, and a member of the bell choir and vocal choir. He was the treasurer of the Dow Corning Retiree Club and volunteered as a computer and security technician at Duncan's Outdoor Shop. He enjoyed building and repairing computers, pistol shooting, golfing, and gardening.
Surviving besides his wife are his children: Cristine (David) Madden, Colleen (Alan) Moore, and Charlie Dall; his grandchildren, Nathan, Keltie, Caleb, and Rylinn; his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill (Lin) Duncan, Glenn (Ann Marie) Duncan, and Rhoda (Tom) Woods; his father-in-law, Charles Duncan; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017, at the Hemlock United Methodist Church, 406 W. Saginaw St., Hemlock, MI. Rev. Michael Vollmer will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the W. L. Case Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. and then at the church on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
