Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the age of 84 years. The daughter of the late William and Martha Dakoski was born on September 23, 1934 in Detroit. She married Robert N. Carroll on September 20, 1954; he survives her. Frieda retired from Bridgeport Public Schools after 30 years of service as a beloved cook. She loved to cook, quilt and tend her flower garden. Frieda especially enjoyed caring for and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Surviving besides her husband of 64 years, Robert, are their children: Theresa (Michael) Felsing, Tami (Mark) Solak, step-daughter Marsha Nucian, grandchildren: Jeremie (Celeste) Solak, Hilary (Nathan) Hall, Nicolette (Sanjay) Rai, great-grandchildren: Eva Solak, Julian Solak, Langy Solak, Ari Solak, Soren Solak, Jack Solak, Beatrice Solak, Evelyn Hall, Hazel Hall, Yerusha Rai, Abagail Rai, Boaz Rai, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a great-grandson, Emmeth Solak. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Pastor Richard Hall will officiate with entombment at Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Thursday 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
