The daughter of the late Ethel (Elsworth) and Walter Kitter was born October 15, 1937 in Alpena, Michigan. She married James R. Vance, October 16, 1965. Her husband of 55 years survives her. She was a member of the American Legion Post #439 Auxiliary.
Surviving besides her husband, James, are a son, David Robert Vance; a grandson, Jimmy Vance, both of Lexington, KY; a brother, Gerry Kitter, Hemlock, MI; a sister, Shirley Pinkel, Alpena, MI; a sister-in-law and her husband, Cathie and Rick Gallion; a brother-in-law, Tommy Vance, all of Ironton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Gail's wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospitals. www.casefuneralhome.com
