Gary L. Coates

Coates, Gary L. San Tan Valley, AZ formerly of Saginaw, MI Passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the age of 67 years. Gary was born January 19, 1947, in Saginaw to the late Laurence and Vercella (Maidens) Coates. He graduated in 1965 from Saginaw High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired hotel manager. He is survived by his sisters, Diana (Bob) Mostek and Sheila Painter all of Littleton, CO; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Jan Dietzel-Coates; and brother-in-law John Painter. The family would like to thank his very special friends Jerry and Diane Clements, Larry and Renee Esckilsen all of Michigan, and Debbie Penn and Laneil Brown of Arizona. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Don Dinninger will officiate the service with military honors rendered by VFW Post #1859 of Carrollton. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
