Gary Lee Proctor

Gary Lee Proctor Thomas Township, Michigan Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25, 2019 at his home, with his family at his side, at the age of 80 years. The son of the late Herman Sr. and Reva (Speaker) Proctor was born on November 22, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan. Gary married the love of his life, Darla Ann Suppes on May 26, 1962 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Saginaw, Michigan. He proudly served with the United States Air Force with the B-52 Bombers in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1968. Gary enjoyed boating, fishing and travel, especially with Darla. Above all, he loved the time spent with his family. Surviving besides his wife of 57 years, Darla; are two sons and their spouses, Rick and Heather Proctor of Beaverton, Michigan, Gary Jr. and Tricia Proctor of Midland, Michigan; several grandchildren; one brother, Duane Proctor; and one special niece and God daughter, Michelle Drapp. Besides his parents, Gary is preceded in death by one brother, Herman Guy Proctor Jr.; and one sister, Bebe LaGuire. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2019 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Paul Hinz will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral chapel.
