George Philip Skentzos

George Philip Skentzos (Philip), 57, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on January 31, 2025, due to natural causes. Born in Akron, Ohio, on March 14, 1967, to Suzanne Skentzos and the late George Skentzos, he spent his formative years in Saginaw.

Philip dedicated his career to repairing medical equipment, including wheelchairs and vehicles designed for disabled access, reflecting his commitment to enhancing the lives of others. He had a deep appreciation for watches and was a passionate dog rescuer, providing loving homes to many dogs throughout his life.

He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Marie Skentzos and Amanda Catherine Skentzos; his mother, Suzanne Skentzos; his brother, Paul Skentzos; his former wife, Connie Skentzos (Redmond); and his close domestic partner, Jennie Opperman. He was preceded in death by his father, George Skentzos, and his brother, Kris Skentzos.

A private memorial service will be held later this year. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to organizations such as the Humane Society, honoring Philip's love for animals.

Philip had a keen appreciation for humor, effortlessly engaging in playful banter and bringing warmth to any conversation. His ability to enjoy and amplify the laughter of those around him left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Philip embraced life fully and was unapologetically himself, leaving behind stories and memories that will continue to bring smiles to those who knew him.
