Gerald A. Seres Traverse City, Michigan formerly of Merrill Passed away on July 13, 2018, at the age of 77 years. Gerald was born February 23, 1941, in Saginaw to the late George and Flora (Toth) Seres. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear after many years. While there he worked as a Design Plastic Engineer creating molds that are still in use. After retirement he moved to the West Branch area where he was active in the Optimists Club, Kiwanis, volunteering for Little League and the County Fair. He made/donated wood duck nesting boxes and bluebird boxes. He was an avid fisherman and prolifically tied flies. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, playing basketball and was a sports enthusiast. He is survived by his sisters, Carol (Curtis) Locke and Nancy (Dennis) Lindhorst; nieces and nephew, Amy (Tony) Daros, Leesa (Scott) DuRussel, Janis (Tim) Skipski and Cody (Lindsay Aarseth) Lindhorst; great-niece and nephews, Kayla (Andy) VanEgmond, Curtis Daros, Costandian Daros, Travis DuRussel and Ellie DuRussel; great-great-niece, Aria VanEgmond; and many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his great-nephew, Joshua DuRussel. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Immanuel Lutheran Church 10020 E. Monroe in Wheeler. Rev. Gary Bender will officiate with burial to follow in Lakefield Twp. Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W.L. Case & Company 125 E. Saginaw St. in Merrill and again at church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
