Gerald James Fiting

Fiting, Gerald James Saginaw, MI Passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at his home, age 80 years. Gerald was born in Hemlock, Michigan December 13, 1934 the son of the late Herman and Emma (Pahl) Fiting. He married Marion Elaine Lamont May 19, 1956 and she survives him. Gerald served in the United States Army. He loved making bird feeders in his retirement. He enjoyed taking care of his yard, playing cards and watching football and baseball. In addition to his wife, Gerald is survived by three children, Terry Lynn Buckley, Steve Michael Fiting and Renae Kay (Michael) McGillem; seven grandchildren, Marty, Diane, Stephanie, Josh, Kaytlyn, Brian and Craig; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Loyd Fiting; a sister-in-law, Norma (Donald) Gary and a brother-in-law, Howard (Donna) Lamont. He was predeceased by four brothers, Dale, Don, Alvin and Kenneth Fiting. The funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2015 at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Martin Hagenow will officiate with burial in Swan Creek Township Cemetery where military services will take place under the auspices of VFW Post No. 1859, Carrollton. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Sunday from 2:00 5:00 p.m. and Monday from 12:00 noon until time of the service.
