Gerald (Jerry) Roger Anderson

Anderson, Gerald Roger (Jerry) Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at his home at the age of 79 years. He was born December 7, 1937 to the late William and Mary (Saumier) Anderson. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School and then attended Ferris State University for two years. Jerry was manager of the first McDonalds in Saginaw, located at State and Center Rds. He later was employed as a machine repairman at Steering Gear until his retirement. He married Helen Cowdrey in June of 1990 and she survives him. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #497, American Legion Post #439, and Masonic Lodge #77 F & A M. Jerry was also a member of the Shrine and volunteered as a driver for the children being transported to the Shriners Hospital for Children. He also volunteered as a firefighter with the James Township Fire Department. Surviving besides his wife are his children, William Anderson, Saginaw; Gerald (Junior) Anderson, Texas; Amber Anderson, Texas; and Susan Anderson, Jackson; his sister-in-law, Betty Lockwood. He was predeceased by his brother, Maynard. Cremation has taken place and memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the W. L.
