Geraldine E Lintern of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital. She was 91 years old. Geraldine E Thompson was born on November 4, 1928, in Fosters, Michigan, the daughter of the late Ernest and Laura (Denoma) Thompson. She married Walter D. Lintern Sr. on April 26, 1947; he preceded her in death on December 6, 2006. Geraldine was a lifetime auxiliary member of American Legion Post #439. She enjoyed Bingo, playing Euchre, and going to the casino. Above all, she loved and cherished time spent with her family.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara (Donald) Wilcox of Saginaw; nine grandchildren: Dwane (Christina) Lintern, Alison (Mike) Verdusco, Marjor (Jenna) Miller Shane (Lori) Morales, Steven (Monica) Morales, Jason Lintern, Erin Lintern, Zachary Lintern, Lindsey (Terry) Neal; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters: Jack Thompson, Dick (Nancy) Thompson, Bill (Jan) Thompson, Jim (Linda) Thompson, Tom (Linda) Thompson, Ernestine (Jim) Harrington, Donna (Bud) Werdehoff, and Sally (Bob) Naylor. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by a son and daughter: Walter “Wally” Lintern Jr. and Diana Miller; brother, Bob (Julie) Thompson; sister, Lois (Earl) Campbell.
A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2020, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Pursuant to the current state executive order, indoor building capacity is limited, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged. We appreciate everyone’s efforts to reduce the spread of Covid-19 in our community.
