Geraldine Mae Rappley Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her family. Age 76 years. The daughter of the late Edward and Isabell (VanBoxlaer) Kaufmann was born August 31, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan. She retired from Means Stamping Inc. with over 20 years of service. She married Russell Rappley who passed away in 2010. Geraldine had an inventive mind, held several Patents, invented children's games, wrote short stories; enjoyed gardening, sewing and playing the accordion. Most of all she enjoyed her family. Surviving are a son, two daughters and their spouses, Ronald Rappley, Thomas Twp, MI; Lorain and Henry Martin, Hemlock, MI; Darlene and Jim Surdock, Thomas Twp, MI; seven grandchildren, Rachel, Rebecca and Renee Rappley; Ashley Bringer and her husband Greg; Lindsay Martin; Jennifer, Jessica and Mallory Surdock; two great grandchildren, Melody Rappley and Ella Bringer; her brother and two sisters and their spouses, Joe and Joy Kaufmann, Hemlock, MI; Virginia Vander Veen, Kalamazoo, MI; Lorraine and Gary Garno, Merrill, MI; many nieces and nephews. A son, David Russell Rappley, has predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2014, at New Life Christian Fellowship, 6115 Shattuck Rd. Saginaw. Pastor Jeff Ralph will officiate with burial in Swan Creek Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
