Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020. Age 84 years.
Geraldine was born on January 30, 1936, daughter of the late George and Ivah (Dimond) Weaver, in Saginaw. She married David Rowe on June 13, 1959. He survives her. She was a former manager of the A&W in Saginaw. She enjoyed trips to the casino and traveling with her husband. Geraldine loved caring for her grandchildren, cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She remained very active, enjoyed riding her bike and was an avid reader. Geraldine will be remembered for her loving spirit, great sense of humor and quick wit.
Geraldine will be missed by her husband, Dave; daughters, Colleen Fries (Evan Beach), Patty (Dave) Miller and Holly (Randy) Fries; son, David (Lori) Rowe; grandchildren, Kathy Fries, Lance Miller, Emily (Harrison) Smith, Jacob McCormick (Cassie Spindler), Phoebe Fries, Alex Fries, Erica Rowe (Steven Decker), Samantha Rowe (Chris Pluta) and Raeann Rowe; two great grandsons, Luke McCormick and Charlie Pluta; brother, Russell (Ann) Weaver of Cassleberry, FL, several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Christine Ritter. She was predeceased by her daughter, Karen Kay Rowe, several brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will take place at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at W. L. Case and Company 201 N. Miller Road. Fr. Jack Johnson will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a charity of donor’s choice. Pursuant to the current state executive order, indoor building capacity is limited, face covers are required and social distancing encouraged. We appreciate everyone’s effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
